what is Kubernetes Namespace?

Ans:- Kubernetes Namespaces are used for naming the comportment of objects/resources on the Kubernetes cluster. A Kubernetes cluster would be shared across multiple teams to run various projects on the cluster, so to avoid objects/resources of one project/team being accessed by others we use Kubernetes Namespaces.

By default as part of the Kubernetes install there are 4 namespaces are created.

1)Default

2) Kube-System

3)Kube-Public

4)Kube-Node-lease

Kubernetes namespace in real world

1)Default:- Every object created in the Kubernetes cluster will be placed by the "default" Namespace only. The Default namespace is by default empty.

2)Kube-System:- All the Kubernetes system objects like Api Manager, Scheduler and controller manager etc are placed under the "kube-system" namespace only.

3)Kube-Public:- By Default Kube-Public namespace is empty, if we place any objects with the kube-public, those are accessible publicly to everyone without authentication.

4) Kube-Node-Lease:- All the Kubernetes lease objects are associated with this namespace.

1) How to see the namespace that is on the cluster?

kubectl get namespaces or ns

2. How to create our namespace in the Kubernetes cluster?

kubectl create namespace namespacename

3. How to delete a namespace from the cluster?

kubectl delete namespace namespacename
